The Assembly of the Republic of Albania has formalized the candidates for this position of the People's Advocate. This competition was opened after the end of the 5-year mandate of Erinda Ballance in May.

Erinda Ballanca, whose first term has ended, is running for a second term.

The Chairperson of the Committee for Legal Affairs, Public Administration and Human Rights, Klotilda Bushka, has submitted detailed information for each of the 20 candidates, details from their studies to careers and evaluations have been presented.

Në këtë shkresë janë të përcaktuar edhe kriteret mbi të cilat do të bëhet përzgjedhja e kreut të ri të Avokatit të Popullit.

Mësohet se 18 prej kandidatëve kanë dorëzuar formularët e kërkuar me përjashtim të zotit Sali Shehu dhe Besim Ndregjoni të cilët nuk kanë dorëzuar formularin e deklarimit të papajtueshmërisë.
