The head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, in his speech at the Western Balkans Prosecutors' Forum, stated that it is not only geography that unites them, but also the fight against corruption.

Dumani emphasized that sharing information is a clear mission, and that geography does not hinder but rather helps our partnership.

He underlined that cooperation with Eurojust has yielded tangible results and complex issues have been addressed.

Dumani called on other countries in the region to embrace the cooperation model.

"We are not united only by geography but also by the fight against corruption."

Criminal groups are interconnected and their operations are transnational.

More joint investigations, information sharing, a clear mission that geography does not hinder but rather helps our partnership.

Cooperation with Eurojust has yielded tangible results. We have been able to handle complex cases.

If we take a look at the Eurojust report, SPAK is the prosecution with the highest number of cases opened at Eurojust.

SPAK has 23 joint investigative teams with EU and regional countries as well as Latin America.

At least with the prosecutors' offices of Montenegro and Kosovo, we have shown that open cooperation and trust in each other makes successful investigations possible.

I say that it is a model of cooperation that we have with these three countries that should be embraced by other countries in the region that have not been as cooperative.

SPAK has also paid attention to the execution of requests coming from countries in the region or the EU.

The fight against crime and corruption is long and sometimes isolated, but when we cooperate with each other, it becomes easier.
