Sunday at the Ecumenical Patriarchate/ Details from the visit of Archbishop Joan

This Sunday, His Beatitude, Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës and all Albania, Monsignor Joan, continued his official visit to the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Phanar, by participating in the joint Divine Liturgy of All Saints' Sunday.

At 08:10 , His Beatitude departed from the hotel towards the Patriarchate, accompanied by the Metropolitan of the Forty Churches, His Grace Andrea, and the patriarchal deacon, Photios, representative of the holy patriarchal court.

At 08:30, in the historic church of St. George, Archbishop Ioan co-presided over the Divine Liturgy with the hierarchs of the Patriarchate present, in a warm liturgical atmosphere and spiritual unity. At the end of the service, greetings and symbolic gifts were exchanged in the nave, as a sign of brotherly love and mutual gratitude.

At 2:00 PM, in honor of His Beatitude, the Ecumenical Patriarchate hosted a luncheon at the “Halat by Divan” restaurant, in the historic area of ??Piri Pasha. The luncheon was attended by His Holiness, the Ecumenical Patriarch, Mr. Bartholomew, Metropolitan of Myra, His Grace Chrysostomos, the Great Ecclesiarch, as well as other high church figures.

This day culminated the historic visit of Archbishop Ioan to the headquarters of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, leaving strong traces of cooperation, love and mutual respect between the two sister churches. /CNA
