Details from the case/ Review of Erion Veliaj's appeal in the High Court

The High Court has officially registered the appeal of the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, who is under the security measure of 'prison arrest'.

Also, the judge who will review Veliaj's appeal has been appointed.  

Based on the data of the criminal case, it is learned that the object of the accusation/indictment is 'interrogation and verification of the conditions for the persons under investigation, as well as the continuation of the implementation of these measures', based on Article 284 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

Four businessmen involved in the investigation are also part of the case.

There is still no set date and time for the hearing. /CNA
