This Saturday, according to police sources, citizen Loran Dusha, 42 years old, captured in Zimbabwe, South Africa and wanted by Albanian authorities, was extradited to Albania.

Dusha was declared an international wanted person.

The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime (SCOC), in 2022, had assigned the security measure "Arrest in prison" for the criminal offenses "Active corruption of high-ranking state officials or local elected officials" and "Laundering of the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity", committed in collaboration.

On February 18, 2022, Dusha testified before a parliamentary investigative committee, where, among other things, he confessed to his connections with the incinerators, Klodian Zoto and Mirel Mërtiri.

On March 29, 2022, an arrest warrant was issued for Dusha, following his testimony to the parliamentary committee.

 

On September 25, 2023, the GJKKO requested a sentence of 83 years in prison for the 15 people convicted for the construction of the Fier incinerator and sentenced Dusha to 7 years in prison, who will serve 4 years and 8 months in prison with a shortened sentence./CNA
