The President of the Constitutional Court, Holta Zaçaj, spoke to the media regarding the judges' request for a salary increase.

Zaçaj said that yesterday's statement by the Constitutional Court is to guarantee that it is impartial in its decisions.

Regarding Rama's statement regarding judges' salaries, Zaçaj said that he does not believe it is pressure, but a common statement by the parties.

" The implementation of the decisions of the Constitutional Court shows the stage of democracy. We still have work to do, but in the majority our decisions are enforceable... certain decisions for which politics takes its toll if it does not implement them, when we talk about other powers. The important thing is that the court functions. The court came out yesterday with a statement that our duty is to guarantee the public that the court functions independently, impartially, of course with the opinions that come from all sides, sometimes even the opinions that the media provides. Basically it is to assure the public that we are impartial regardless of how they do it... I do not believe that the statement (of Rama) is pressure, they are ordinary statements of the parties in the process, you in the media give more voice to opinions than necessary ", said Zaçaj./ CNA
