Technical inspections in January-May 2025/ About 100 thousand cars tested, 34%

The General Directorate of Road Transport Services has shared data from the period January-May 2025, with the following data on the Technical Control service:

Tool testing:

101,696 vehicles tested;

86.39% of the tested vehicles are vehicles (4+1 - 8+1 seats);

36.2% of the tests were conducted at the Tirana DRSHTRR.

Tools remaining in testing:

26,207 vehicles remained under testing or 25.8% of the total vehicles.

Reasons for leaving:

34% Visual and functional impairment;

35% Exhaust system;

13% Steering system;

 18% Braking system.

Vehicles over 22 years old:

3,137 vehicles with an average age of 22 years have been permanently deregistered.

DPSHTRR announces that interventions in the odometer, constructive changes and any other intervention that poses a threat to road safety are strictly prohibited. /CNA
