Everyone knows Zhani Ziçishti, as an actor in more than 30 old Albanian films, but not everyone knows that today his hobby is old cars.

This 57-year-old car is a 1965 Ford, which is still running thanks to Jean's wish.

He inherited his passion for old cars from his father, who wanted him to become a mechanical engineer.

"The passion was born because he wants me to become an engineer and I fulfilled his wish. My mother wanted me to become an actor, so I told her. Sometimes there and sometimes here. Now I deal with the car", said Zicishti.

Ai tregon se çdo pjesë të makinës e rregullon vetë, pasi nuk ka besim tek mekanikët në Shqipëri.

“Merrem vet sigurisht, si ta le tjetrin, ata me shumë kanë kuriozitet t’i prekin gjërat. Vetë i bëj, një gjë që unë e mësoj nuk e le tjetrin të ma tregojë, atë që unë e di, atë që se di mundohem ta kuptoj”, u shpreh ai.

Ndryshe nga bashkëmoshatarët e tij, të cilët nuk janë aktive, ai shprehet se mban veten gjallë me këtë hobi.

“Kafene ore, çdo bëjnë ata. Unë e ve ne lëvizje natyrën time, më ka hyrë si të thuash ajo gjëja që unë duhet të bëj diçka, të mos rri, ata rrinë, pinë bëhen tapë, pinë cigare, raki. Unë nuk bëj kështu. Mendjen time e kam të fjetur për të bërë diçka dhe kur e arrij atëherë kënaqem shpirtërisht”, u shpreh ai më tej.

There were many people who were interested in buying Ziçishti's car, but for the actor, the old car is part of his life and cannot be exchanged for money, while he wants to leave an inheritance to his grandchildren.

"I've had a lot of messages, a lot of people who want to buy it, but I'm not selling this car. This is a simple car that I enjoy. I don't do driving lessons like these today. When I leave Greece, they pass me in a Benz at 140-200 km per hour, and they call me "motor car", run away, I tell them, that's how you do your job", he continues.

In the cobbled streets of Korça and beyond, people's eyes follow this old car with a squint, where inside it, there is the artistic and hard-working spirit of a great actor like Zani Ziçishti./Euronews
