Prime Minister Edi Rama from Berlin has spoken about the cyber attacks that hit our country.

Rama has claimed that a strategic part of the daily functions was hit.

"We faced a heavy attack from Iran in an attempt to delete our data and destroy our online services system which is a very developed system in Albania.

Only yesterday, in the digital development indicator of the United Nations, Albania was ranked eighth in Europe and 19th in the world, which means that we have a sophisticated system of online services.

They hit us at a strategic part of our daily operations. Albania is the only country in all of Europe that had more Jews because the Jews were protected and there is no evidence that they were handed over to the Nazis. When Slobodan Milosevic started the ethnic cleansing, about half a million people came to Albania. When the war in Afghanistan started, we opened the doors to thousands of Afghans that no one wanted to take. It was an embarrassing situation to watch as NATO members had the terrible idea to leave without them. We could not save them all, but we saved a part of them", said Rama in the panel of the Congress of the Party of European Socialists & Democrats./ CNA.al
