Dumani meets with Belgian ministers/Focus on cracking down on organized crime

The Head of the Special Prosecution Office, Altin Dumani, held meetings with the Minister of Justice of Belgium, Annelies Verlinden, and with the Minister of Asylum and Immigration of the Kingdom, Anneleen Van Bossuyt.

The meeting was announced by SPAK, where it was stated that the focus was SPAK's cooperation with Belgian law enforcement agencies.

During the meeting, Dumani emphasized the importance of exchanging information and coordinating joint operations.

The Belgian Minister of Justice said that organized crime can only be punished by tracing the money.

The Head of the Special Prosecution Office, Mr. Altin Dumani, met with the Minister of Justice of Belgium, Ms. Annelies Verlinden, and with the Minister of Asylum and Immigration of the Kingdom of Belgium, Ms. Anneleen Van Bossuyt.

During the meeting, the successful cooperation and its strengthening between SPAK and Belgian law enforcement agencies were discussed, within the framework of the fight against organized crime.

Mr. Dumani emphasized the importance of exchanging information, coordinating joint operations, and increasing efficiency in the investigation and prosecution of transnational organized crime.

Minister Verlinden said international cooperation is essential to break the business model of criminal groups and organizations. “We can only punish them effectively by tracking the money,” she said./CNA
