Undeclared money and forged documents in Rinas/ 6 people are being prosecuted

Two citizens from North Macedonia have been prosecuted after attempting to cross the border with thousands of undeclared euros. The pair were traveling to Norway with 22,805 euros and 2,600 Macedonian dinars, which were seized by police.

Four other people were also prosecuted for attempting to enter Rinas Airport with false documents, which were seized by the police.

Detailed checks at the exit of the Republic of Albania resulted in the detection of 6 cases of illegality.

Their perpetrators are being prosecuted.

22,805 euros, 2,600 Macedonian dinars and 6 false documents were seized.

As a result of the controls and verifications, the Rinas Border Police services cracked down on 2 cases of non-declaration of money at the border and 4 cases of attempted movement with false documents. At the end of the procedural actions for the 6 cases of illegalities, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where proceedings were initiated in a free state for:

- a citizen from the Republic of Macedonia, AJ, 33 years old, who was going to travel to Norway, after 11,800 euros and 2,600 Macedonian dinars were found on him, which he had not declared;

- a citizen from the Republic of Macedonia, BI, 43 years old, who was going to travel to Norway, after 11,005 euros that he had not declared were found on him;

-citizen AR, 30 years old, resident of Kamza, who was going to travel to the Netherlands, after 1 identity card and 1 Polish driving license, suspected to be fake, were found on him;

-citizen KS, 20 years old, resident of Shkodra, who was going to travel to Italy, after 1 identity card and 1 Polish passport, suspected to be fake, were found on him;

- citizen AK, 36 years old, resident of Fier, who was going to travel to Germany, after a suspected fake Brazilian driving license was found on him;

-Brazilian citizen LM, 33 years old, who was traveling to Germany, after a suspected fake Italian driving license was found on her.

Controls and verifications will continue.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action./CNA
