"It is a fact that there should be police officers in courtrooms"/

The Head of the Special Court, Erion Bani, was present at the tributes for the late Judge Astrit Kalaja.

Afterwards, the head of the GJKKO gave a statement to the media in which he said that none of the country's courts meet security requirements. Bani said that without guaranteed security in the courts, there can be no justice.

He further announced that a meeting will be held tomorrow with all the judges of the country where all the problems of the justice system will be addressed in the competent bodies and all analyses will be carried out.

Bani called for this moment to be seen as a moment of reflection that the courts can no longer be left in this situation and demanded that each of the actors complete their assigned tasks.

Regarding security in the courtroom, the head of the GJKKO stated that it is a fact that a police officer must be present and said that the lack of police will be addressed to the competent bodies.

 

"Not a single court, with the exception of one, meets the security requirements. All courts should be built from the beginning to meet the requirements. If there is no security for the judge, there is no justice. When talking about the security of the courts, it is not just about the security of the judges, it is about all the actors. This moment is a moment of reflection. If there is no security in the court, everyone who comes to a courtroom feels in danger.

The requests have been continuous to have new buildings. A moment of reflection that the courts cannot be left in this situation. It requires a deep analysis. Tomorrow there will be a meeting of all judges, all analyses will be made and all problems will be addressed in the competent bodies. Each of the actors must fulfill their duties and then an account will be sought one by one for those who do not fulfill their duties.
