Murder of judge / Hearing on security measures tomorrow, Court: Will be held behind closed doors

Tomorrow at 08:00, the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Tirana, Criminal Chamber, will consider the Prosecution's request for security measures for the three people arrested for the murder of Judge Astrit Kalaja, Elvis Shkambi, Gjon Shkambi and private security guard BK.

The court emphasizes in the announcement that the session will be held behind closed doors and only the litigants will participate, prohibiting the participation of the media.

"The Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction of Tirana, Criminal Chamber, on 09.10.2025 at 08:00, will consider the request of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction of Tirana, for the validation of the arrest and the imposition of a security measure against the persons under investigation E.Sh., Gj.Sh. and BK.

I would like to inform you that the hearing will be held behind closed doors, with only the litigants participating in the session.
