The Head of the Special Prosecution Office, Altin Dumani, has expressed criticism of journalists and analysts who speak in the media regarding certain issues being investigated by SPAK.

In an interview for the show "Trialog" with Alba Nishani, Dumani said that he appreciates their work, but in most cases they distort the facts of the investigation. He added that these analysts are not aware of any details of the investigation.

"First of all, I appreciate the work of the media as a conduit of our work to the public. Especially field journalists and analysts who cover the work of SPAK. We are open to criticism. When I say pressure from the media, I mean the report of the EC and OSCE on the misuse of the media towards SPAK. We have journalists who threaten prosecutors. It is not up to me to assess what is hidden behind opinions or comments towards SPAK or prosecutors, but this is a reality also reflected in international reports.

But there are also journalists and analysts who have misinformed about certain issues and distorted the facts about the investigation. They do not know any detail of the zero investigation. They go too far, it is fantasy. But we special prosecutors are prepared to face these too," said Dumani. /CNA
