Saimir Rrustemi, the commissioner dismissed on suspicion of abuses with the tender for the reconstruction of the Malësi e Madhe Commissariat, has returned to duty.

He has been appointed Head of Order in the Shkodra Police, a post he has held before.

The post of Chief of Order was held for some time by Genc Reçi, while the latter has now been transferred to the post of Chief of Training in the Rapid Intervention Forces in Shkodër.

We remind you that in July 2022, Rrustemi was arrested together with 13 other district police officers, under suspicion of tender abuse, in the amount of 2 million ALL.

The commissioner denied the charges and was released 3 days after his arrest. He was initially placed under "house arrest" and then the measure was eased to "obligation to appear". A year later, the file was dismissed because the Prosecution did not find reasonable evidence to charge him.

After the end of the battle with justice, Rrustemi was appointed to the operating room in the Directorate of Dibra and then Chief of Crimes in the Commissariat of Vau i Deja.

Now, he has returned to the job he had before his arrest./ CNA
