The Advisor for Economic Affairs in DP and at the same time Vice President of the Tirana Municipal Council, Dorjan Teliti, made a strong denunciation of the Municipality of Tirana this Sunday.

He has denounced the waste, abuse and "devouring" that is being done to the budget of the capital.

Teliti has emphasized that the "bosses in the municipality" are "devouring" 1 million euros every day.

"Every time you see a flower garden or a public space that disappears and is concreted, think about "those" who decided to disappear that flower garden, think about the oligarch friend who is pouring concrete for the next tower (not for the foundations of any garden or nurseries so necessary for the Capital).

Every time you wake up and open the windows for ventilation but breathe "poisonous air" 18 times more polluted than WHO norms, think about the causes and their boss.

Every time you open the shutter while taxes, taxi drivers and debts are taking your breath away, think about who increased your taxes and local fees in Tirana from 2 to 10 times more since 8 years.

Every time you work the land alone, abandoned and without any support from the municipality, think about those "beautiful promises" they made to you in 2023 just to get your vote.

 But above all, never forget that while you and Tirana suffer, those "bosses in the municipality" every day misuse, devour and abuse 1 million euros of local taxes and fees (Tirana's taxpayers' money) with tenders and contracts without competition , for concerts and activities worth hundreds of millions, to pay with the salaries of 12,100 employees, most of whom are just patrons.

Tirana would be clean, prosperous, with adequate infrastructure, with strong entrepreneurship, with many farmers and cultivated land, etc. Tirana would not be the city with the lowest quality of living in the Balkans and Europe if the money we pay in taxes and local fees were returned to Tirana with quality investments and services.

Tirana does not deserve this macabre treatment, Tirana deserves more", he writes on social networks.
