Most of the fires in the country are extinguished/ 3 fires, still active

The rains yesterday have helped to put out many fires in our country.

This Monday, the situation appears calmer, helped by the atmospheric conditions, with the decrease in temperatures and the presence of rain in many areas.

During the last 24 hours, out of 31 reported fires, 28 have been completely extinguished, while only 3 still remain active.

The Minister of Defense, Pirro Vengu, announces that the current outbreaks in Arrëz in Kukës, in Fushë Lugje in Mirdita and in Buçaj in Shkodra are isolated, with no risk of spreading.

"After many weeks of fighting fires that engulfed many territories of our country, today the situation is calmer. During the last 24 hours, out of 31 reported fires, 28 have been completely extinguished, while only 3 still remain active.

Currently, the outbreak in Arra in the municipality of Kukës, the one in Fushë Lugje in Mirdita and the outbreak in Buçaj in Shkodra are isolated without risk of spread and are being monitored to avoid any possibility of reactivation.

Acknowledgment to all operational structures, Civil Emergencies, from Firefighters, Armed Forces, Police, Forest Service, Protected Areas and volunteers for their hard work and maximum commitment.
