The hearing at the GJKKO for the "5D" file has been postponed again. It is learned that the reason for the postponement of the hearing was the replacement of Redi Molla's lawyer, while another defense attorney requested time to familiarize himself with the documents.

It is reported that the next session will be held on April 30.

Former directors Redi Molla and Mariglen Qato are being tried in this process for the criminal offenses of passive corruption, failure to declare assets, and money laundering.

Meanwhile, the other defendants Taulant Tushe, Nestor Muhametllari, Albano Janku, Julian Zanaj and Enton Punavia will be tried for violating equality in tenders.

From the investigations of SPAK, it results that the defendant Redi Molla, in his capacity as the former general director of the company Ujësjelës Kanalizime Tirana sh.a., as well as the defendant Mariglen Qato, as the former director of the support department in this company and in his capacity as the former chief inspector of IKMT in the Municipality of Tirana, were the "de facto" owners of the company "5D Konstruksion" sh.pk, using fictitious owners, while in this file sent for trial alone they received 12 tenders, benefiting around 2 million euros in the period 2016-2020.

Investigations have revealed that in the period 2016-2018, when Qato held the position of Director of the Support Department at UKT, the company "5D" won 4 tenders, in violation of public procurement rules, from the Municipality of Tirana, "Tirana Parking" and "Tirana Sports Club"./ CNA
