The head of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, also commented on the decree of the law on investigative commissions by President Barjam Begaj a day ago.

In the statement to the media, Meta stated that one of the reasons why politics and the country are in crisis is precisely because of Prime Minister Edi Rama's and the majority's fear of accountability guaranteed by the Constitution.

"Regarding the decision of the president of the Republic to confirm the law on the investigative commission, I have no reason to say as a former president that he has his judgment on every issue. One of the main reasons for this major crisis of Albanian politics is the fear of Edi Rama and the majority from the accountability guaranteed by the Constitution of Albania", said Meta.

Regarding the case of the arrest of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, Meta said that we are dealing with a political persecution and to undermine the opposition in the country.

According to Meta, this persecution is dictated by Prime Minister Edi Rama, who has captured the justice system and exerts pressure.
