The planned meeting of the Vlora Municipal Council has been interrupted after not receiving enough votes to approve the agenda.
The hall was filled with debate from the beginning, as the agenda included over 20 discussion points, burdening the process with numerous arguments and concerns from opposition advisors.
The Council Chairwoman, Elpiniqi Merkuri, put the agenda to the vote, but the result was 25 votes in favor, one vote less than the required legal number of 26 votes. As a result, the agenda was not approved.
After the decision, the group of opposition advisors, led by Atird Hoxha, left the hall, accusing delays and ambiguities in the management of the meeting.
According to the Council's decision, the meeting will resume tomorrow at 09:00 to discuss and vote on the passage of economic aid, while the dates for future meetings are expected to be determined./ CNA
