Albania's roads turn out to be the best in the region in terms of their quality. Global Positioning Specialists, based in the United Kingdom, came to this conclusion.

In their study titled "The Most Dangerous Places to Drive", road quality, the number of road deaths and motor vehicle crime statistics were included.

The study analyzes 60 countries and the assessment of road quality varies from 1, which means extremely undeveloped roads, to 7, which is considered the most efficient roads and therefore are among the best in the world.

As for Albania, the study shows that our country ranks 33rd among the 60 countries analyzed. This report has assessed the quality of the roads in Albania with 3.9 points.

Compared to the countries of the region, Albania leaves behind Serbia, the quality of whose roads is rated 2.9, ranking 44th.

Also, Albania leaves behind North Macedonia, whose road quality is rated 3.4. Other Western Balkan countries were not included in the study.

Meanwhile, compared to European countries, Albania ranks very close to Italy and Greece, the quality of whose roads is the same, with a rating of 4.3.

In first place in this road quality ranking are the United Arab Emirates with 6.6, Austria with 6.3 and Singapore with a 6.1 rating for road quality./Scan
