210 scholarships with a monthly value of the minimum salary have been made available to universities for priority branches.

The Minister of Education and Sports, Ogerta Manastirliu, held a meeting with the students of the priority branches of the Agricultural University of Tirana (UBT), who have benefited from the Scholarship Support Program as a minimum salary.

Minister Manastirliu said that the Agricultural University of Tirana has benefited from financial support with scholarships of 40,000 lek/month for 80 students, emphasizing the continuity of support for branches that are considered to be of strategic interest.

"210 minimum wage scholarships that have been made available to our universities have already become effective, 80 of which are scholarships that have been awarded by the Agricultural University of Tirana and precisely in the fields of study such as Agricultural Engineering, Forestry Engineering, Biomarine, Aquaculture and other important branches for economic development and territorial developments as a whole. The minimum wage scholarships are available from the moment you start your studies, and this will continue throughout the months of study," said the Minister of Education and Sports, Ogerta Manastirliu.

In the focus of the priority branches for this year are Agricultural Engineering with different profiles, Marine Biology and Aquaculture, Environmental Sciences and many other branches, which prove the wide range of programs that aim to prepare qualified professionals for current and future challenges in relevant sectors.

"Minimum salary scholarships are a support for students, for our programs of strategic interest for the country, but this is also a further guarantee that tomorrow we will have qualified professionals in these fields that are of interest to the development sectors, but also with interest and for the labor market. But on the other hand, this is a guarantee for a safe employment tomorrow and with the new modalities we want to channel the employment to those criteria which will then be binding for special structures of the economy and public institutions after the end of your studies they can be recruited according to all legal provisions, but also institutional rules", Manastirliu said.

In addition, UBT is advancing with sure steps on the path of internationalization, becoming a strategic partner with the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU) of Vienna. This collaboration, through a 4-year project, aims to bring a radical reform to the university, improving the curricula and responding to the real needs of the market. Therefore, Minister Manastirliu emphasized the importance of joint programs and double degrees of our universities with well-known international institutions, providing students with a global perspective and great opportunities for professional development./ CNA
