Berisha publishes footage: Rama is overthrown with peaceful uprising until a technical government is formed

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has made a post on social media where he shared footage from the protest held the day before in front of the Prime Minister's Office.

Berisha states in his post that the "Rama" government will be overthrown through a peaceful uprising, leading to a technical government and free elections. These last two are the main goals for which the opposition is protesting.

"Ramaduro is overthrown with a peaceful uprising leading to a technical government and free elections ," Berisha wrote alongside the posted video.

The 7th opposition protest was marked by tensions and clashes between police officers, protesters and opposition MPs. Several MPs ended up in hospital after being injured by tear gas. Activist Aulon Kalaja also ended up in hospital due to injuries.

The opposition has accused Prime Minister Edi Rama and police chiefs of violence against protesters. After the protest, there were also people arrested or taken under investigation. /CNA
