Prime Minister Edi Rama, in a press conference with the President of the European Commission, said that the EU is the safest belt for all countries.
According to him, the EU is not a gift shop, it is the most sophisticated and difficult school of democratic statecraft.
Rama said that Albania must do its duties and this is not because EU institutions can ask for it, but because it is in the best interest of the country.
"The EU is the safest belt for all the countries that are in the European Community. In the cases of Pandëmisë and the energy crisis, a great benefit was seen. The EU is not a gift shop, it is the most sophisticated and difficult school of democratic statecraft. The EU is our destiny to have a democratic state in our country. In this education process, the EU grants scholarships. If the EU wants the Berlin process to materialize as a process that increases movements and if it says that you will have access to the common market, we should forget that we should not have the same access to the regional market. There are great innovations that come from the spirit of this commission. Now it's up to us to do our homework, that's the challenge. Not to do our duties because the chancellery should like it, but because it should be for the good of this country."/ CNA
