Investigative journalist, Artan Hoxha has revealed the behind the scenes of the removal of "crime cameras", an action initiated by the police for several weeks in several cities of Albania.

Hoxha said in an interview with Adi Krasta that the cameras that are being removed are not controlled by the authorities and have been used as a "weapon" against the government.

He claims that the police operation will serve politics during the electoral campaign.

According to him, the cameras have been removed in the gray areas and there will be interesting clashes during the campaign.

"I know why they are being removed. It is very interesting and I think we will try it during the election campaign. These cameras cannot control the authorities and they are the cameras that in some other cases have served us to tell us material, which denounced actions taken by the authorities. And in the field, when the distribution, the pressure begins, these cameras in the neighborhoods that are not controlled by the operating room can turn into weapons for the opponent, and I will not believe that this was the plan, but the indicators tell me that if you look at the positions where they are removing the cameras is a gray area during the electoral campaign and there will be very interesting clashes", the journalist emphasized./ CNA.al
