Brother of DP MP arrested

Police have arrested the brother of DP MP Bledion Nallbati, Alti Nallbati.

He is accused of the criminal offenses of "Other intentional damage", "Disturbing public peace", and "Obstructing the movement of means of transport".

His arrest was made after he was caught red-handed immediately after the conflict that occurred between Alti and Bledion Nallbat and the driver of a transport truck, citizen SD.

Alti Nallbati stopped the vehicle he was driving with his brother, citizen Bledion Nallbati, obstructing the movement of vehicles moving on this road axis.

He got out of the vehicle and had a verbal argument with a truck driver, and then attempted to force the SD citizen out of the truck, and attempted to punch him and insult him by committing indecent acts in public. The DP MP Bledion Nallbati was also involved in this conflict, initially attempting to calm the situation but then, based on the footage, attempted to force the SD citizen out of the truck.

"The Crime Investigation Specialists at the Devoll Police Station, at the conclusion of the actions carried out in connection with a conflict that occurred yesterday evening at the Bilisht roundabout, arrested in flagrante delicto the citizen AN, 42 years old, resident of Devoll, for the criminal offenses of "Other intentional damage", "Disturbance of public peace", and "Obstruction of the circulation of means of transport".

His arrest was made after he was caught red-handed immediately after the conflict that occurred between citizens AN, BN and the driver of a transport truck, citizen SD.

During the review of the video footage and the performance of other investigative actions, it resulted that on 03.05.2025, at around 21:15, near the Miras roundabout in the city of Bilisht, citizen AN stopped the vehicle in which he was traveling with his brother citizen BN (candidate for deputy of a political entity), obstructing the circulation of vehicles moving on this road axis.

Citizen AN got out of the vehicle and had a verbal argument with a truck driver, and then attempted to force citizen SD out of the truck, and attempted to punch him and insult him by committing indecent acts in public. His brother, citizen BN, was also involved in this conflict, initially attempting to calm the situation but then, based on the footage, attempted to force citizen SD out of the truck.

"The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Korça, for further action," the police announced./ CNA
