The appeal of GJKKO dismisses the request/ It does not allow Berisha to go to the Assembly

This Monday, the appeal of GJKKO rejected the request of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha to participate in the plenary sessions.

Despite the fact that Berisha has insisted to participate in the plenary sessions and exercise his duties as a deputy, the court has decided not to allow him.

Since December 30, the chairman of the DP is under house arrest.

The Special Prosecutor's Office accuses the former prime minister of "Passive corruption of high state officials or local elected officials", carried out in cooperation with his son-in-law, Jamarbër Malltezin.

SPAK claims that Berisha, in his capacity as Prime Minister, favored the privatization procedures of the former "Partizani" complex and that Malltezi was the direct beneficiary.

Malltezi is accused of "Passive corruption of high state officials or local elected officials", carried out in cooperation with Berisha./  CNA
