A year ago, on the day of justice, the Office of the High Inspector of Justice published a survey on the activity of the institution, as an internal way of communication, to directly gather the opinions of citizens, who have had experience or not with ILD- in.

Citizens were asked about the knowledge they have about the functions of the ILD, if they have had experience with it, the quality of communication with the institution, the addressing of the submitted complaint, as well as the work of the ILD in these three years, based on the contacts with the institution or through messages in the media and social networks.

91 surveys have been completed "online" and physically at the institution, which, in addition to the assessment of the correctness of the ILD for communication and the assistance provided during the complaint process, have also forwarded suggestions related to the deadlines for considering complaints, the increase of the number of inspectors and the competences of the institution itself, as well as more specifically, the increase of inspections in prosecutor's offices or courts, to control the activity of magistrates, prosecutors and judges, in function of the implementation of the procedural law.

In the first year of the survey on the work of the ILD, the High Inspector of Justice thanks the citizens and users of the justice system, who were involved in giving their opinions, and assures them that every remark has been taken into account and will be reflected in the improvement of the work of the institution.

The survey will be a permanent section on the institution's official website, as a way of uninterrupted communication, which will enable a direct monitoring of the institution's work by every citizen.

The High Inspector of Justice announces that in addition to the appeal process, which undoubtedly has the greatest attention of citizens, he has also paid attention to the inspection, the other dimension of the ILD's work.

The inspection plan for 2023 envisages four thematic inspections in courts and prosecutor's offices throughout the country, with the object of dividing cases by lot and control of electronic system reports, the procedure of announcing the reasoning of court decisions and assigning cases.
