Jamarbër Malltezi has reacted to the ships with toxic waste left from Albania to Thailand, denouncing that these wastes come from the metal smelting industry.
In his denunciation, Malltezi writes that in Fushë Arrëz, hazardous waste is thrown into the river and gives cancer to all residents directly or indirectly by corrupting the officials of the narco-government.
Malltezi emphasizes that the government is endangering the lives of thousands of Albanians by not providing any information, hiding inspection reports of environmental hotspots.
"The hazardous waste from Albania to Thailand comes from the metal smelting industry as they write to me.
In Fushë Arrës, it seems that dangerous waste is thrown into the river and gives cancer to all residents directly or indirectly (using water in agriculture or consuming fish) by corrupting the officials of the narco-government (photo June 29, 2024).
We do not know what happens with the waste of Burrel and Elbasan, if they are really collected and sent abroad to be treated (Thailand?) or partly in the river and partly outside?

According to the data that Malltezi has published on social networks, the hazardous waste is Electric Arc Furnance Dust.
In the furnaces, there are already electric arc furnaces for mineral metals in Burrel and Elbasan. The owners of these ovens, according to Malltez's denunciation, are Turkish citizens./ CNA
