Mountains of garbage have covered the streets of Tirana in these hot August days, where temperatures are over 40 degrees.

The situation is quite clear on "Demir Progni" street in the capital. 

The photos below show the trash cans that are full, and even the sidewalk is all covered with waste. 

The company that is responsible for the garbage has not removed the garbage from this area for more than a week. 

What appears in the following photos is the road covered with garbage and the stench has become a concern for the residents of the area. Even the mass collection of garbage is a hotbed of infections. 

Although the citizens of Tirana pay millions of euros for garbage and for their incineration, they still do not receive the service they deserve. 

The affair of the incinerators is one of the most corrupt affairs, where a number of officials of the Municipality of Tirana are behind bars.
