AKMC: 13 fires in the country, here's the situation by region

Based on information sent by the structures of the Civil Protection system at the central and local levels, to the National Operational Center for Civil Emergencies, to the National Civil Protection Agency, during the last 24 hours, 13 fires have been reported, all of which have been isolated, but in a few of them the situation is being monitored.

118 operational forces, 22 firefighting vehicles and other transport and excavation vehicles were deployed in the firefighting operations.

The situation by region is presented as follows:

1. Vlora Region.

After continuous work, the fire that broke out in an area with oak, shrubs and olive trees, in the village of Llaman, administrative unit of Himara, Himara municipality, was extinguished. The operation involved: 4 firefighting vehicles and 12 personnel from the local service of the MZSH of the Himara municipality, 3 police forces, 13 municipal forces and 4 Forest Service forces. The cause of the fire is undetermined.

It was also possible to extinguish the fire that broke out in a bush area in the village of Amonica, administrative unit of Sevaster, municipality of Selenica, as well as the fire in a bush area in the "Ish-Fidanishtja" neighborhood, administrative unit of Region 5, municipality of Vlora.

2. Lezha Region

After a tireless work of the forces, the source of the fire that broke out on 23.06.2025, in the village of Nderfan, Rrëshen administrative unit, Mirditë municipality, in an area with oak forest and shrubs, was extinguished. The area is being monitored.

3. Kukës Region

The fire at the urban waste dump in the village of Mamëz, Kolsh administrative unit, Kukës municipality was also completely extinguished after the efforts of the forces, but the area is being monitored. Elbasan Region

In the Elbasan region, fires have been extinguished; in the village of Shijon, Bradashesh administrative unit, Elbasan municipality, in an area with bushes and thorns; a fire in an area with bushes and herbs in the place called "Mali i Dukës", Rrajcë administrative unit, Prrenjas municipality.

4. Tirana District

A fire that broke out yesterday, in an area of ??bushes and grass, at around 16:50, in the village of Vishnje, Vaqarr administrative unit, Tirana municipality, was successfully contained. The cause of the fire is unknown.

5. Durres Region

A fire that broke out yesterday afternoon at a livestock feed facility in the village of Borizanë, Thumanë administrative unit, Krujë municipality, has been extinguished. As a result, there was damage to the facility and the feed facility. The cause of the fire is unknown.

The fire was also extinguished in an area of ??haystacks in the village of Hamallaj, Sukth administrative unit, Durrës municipality.

6. Fier Region

The forces engaged in the field isolated the fire that broke out yesterday, at around 17:05, in an area of ??bushes, in the village of Sheqishte, Zharrëz administrative unit, Patos municipality.

7. Gjirokaster District

Operational forces worked to extinguish the fire that broke out yesterday, at around 20:40, in an area of ??bushes and grass, between the villages of Valare and Dhoksat, Lunzhëri administrative unit, Gjirokastër municipality.

No fire cases have been reported from other regions of the country.

According to information sent by the Institute of Geosciences to the National Civil Emergency Operations Center, a "HIGH" risk level is expected today in the Fier region, while a "MODERATE" risk level is expected in the other regions.

In some regions, "HIGH" risk is expected only in localized areas, specifically: Shkodër (South), Kukës (Southeast), Lezhë (Center), Durrës (Northeast), Tirana (South), Elbasan (Southwest), Gjirokastër (North) and Vlorë (North).
