 Are WP messages being sold to 506,000 Albanians?/ IT expert speaks

Tomi Kallanxhiu, the IT expert, in an interview in 'Euronews Albania' today, claimed that the attack on the WhatsApp social network is simply a fraud.

He explained that it is impossible for hackers to get into the phones of over 500,000 Albanians and steal their conversations.

"It is almost impossible to hack the data of such a high number of people as the news came out, it is the same as hacking 540,000 phones, which is almost impossible", Kallanxhiu said .

Kallanxhiu sqaroi se është e pamundur që të ruhen të dhënat sepse WhatsApp nuk është një softwere ku të gjitha të dhënat tona ndodhen në një server.

Eksperti i IT tha se bisedat janë të ruajtura vetëm në telefonat tona.

“Gjithmonë njerëzit duhet të kenë kujdes sidomos atë kodin me 6 shifra që na vjen për të verifikuar një numër të caktuar telefoni. Në darkweb shumica e gjërave mund të jenë edhe mashtrime”, tha ai më tej.

Kujtojmë se ditën e djeshme eksperti i Kriminologjisë, Ervin Karamuço, nëpërmjet një postimi në "Facebook" ka bërë të ditur se 506 mijë shqiptarëve përdorues të "WhatsApp" po ju shiten në darkëeb të gjitha komunikimet që kanë kryer vitin e kaluar.

"506 thousand users of the WP application are being sold to you on the dark web all the communications they have carried out during the last year. Another catastrophic loss of privacy", wrote Karamuço in his post. /CNA.al
