"Flag Day finds us fewer and fewer"/ Belind Kelliçi

PD MP Belind Kelliçi has posted on Facebook his congratulations for the flag celebration on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of independence.

Kelliçi expressed his sadness that a century later, the same mass exodus of young people is happening in Albania, and the day of the flag finds Albania with fewer and fewer Albanians.

"The old, the corrupt, the children, the poor who cannot escape, stayed at home, where the double game throws another rope around their obedient necks," wrote James Joyce about the depopulation of Ireland under British rule at the time.

Po pse, më tepër se një shekull më pas, sot në dekadën e dytë të mijëvjeçarit të ri, e njëjta gjë po ndodh në Shqipëri? Shpopullim, ikje masive. Dita e Flamurit na gjen gjithnjë e më të paktë, dhe kjo është e trishtë.

Demokratët dhe qytetarët kurajozë duhet të kthejnë shpresën. Ne duhet të largojmë të korruptuarit, e ta bëjmë Shqipërinë një vend ku jetohet mirë e ku njerëzit t'i kenë të gjitha mundësitë të ndjekin endrrat e të ndërtojnë të ardhmen e tyre.

Kjo ditë e Flamurit duhet të na shërbejë për reflektim.

Me energji e me dashuri, ne kemi në dorë ta nxjerrim atdheun nga kriza, tja heqim nga duart qeveritarëve e zdromsave që e trajtojnë si plaçkë.

Jam i bindur që kjo do të ndodhë, dhe Tirana do t'i prijë ndryshimit.

I am convinced that next November 28, we will be more numerous, freer, more determined to make Albania a European country, closer to the aspiration that our ancestors and the nation's martyrs had, who sacrificed their lives for this project.
