27 thousand high school graduates in the Matura Exams/Manastirliu's Message

Over 27,000 high school graduates across the country are taking the 2025 State Matura exams today, starting with the foreign language exam. On this important day for students, the Minister of Education and Sports, Ogerta Manastirliu, has delivered an encouraging and comprehensive message to the high school graduates.

"Today begins a very important moment for you, the State Matura exams. Over 27 thousand of you will face a series of exams that measure not only what you have learned, but also the dedication and effort you have shown throughout these years of high school. Today you start with a foreign language. Then the Albanian language and literature exam will come on June 10, mathematics on June 17, and on June 24 you will take elective courses. The only thing that is required of you today is to focus on what you know. The rest, the organization and progress of the Matura exam has been prepared very carefully: from teachers, school principals, to experts from the Educational Services Center who have worked for months to guarantee this process as fair, safe and reliable for everyone," said Manastirliu.

The Minister noted the measures taken to guarantee a transparent and inclusive process, including:

"Since January, test models have been distributed, pre-tests have been conducted in schools to identify difficulties, intensive training has been organized with test designers, administrators and evaluators. Testing centers have been carefully selected and a question bank has been built in accordance with the orientation programs. 145 trained administrators have been engaged in this process, who will take care of every aspect of the exam: from the withdrawal of materials, control of the premises and maintaining confidentiality, to the delivery of the tests. They will be there to give you all the peace and security you need. 145 testing centers have been set up according to standards, while 640 teachers have been involved in the evaluation process, to guarantee a transparent and fair Matura for all."

Minister Manastirliu emphasized this year's innovation, which is the broader inclusion of students with special needs.

"We have also taken an important step towards the inclusion of students with special needs through specific tests. For the first time, deaf students will have sign language teachers with them during testing, a measure that ensures and promotes equality and dignity for every student," said Manastirliu.

Next, high school graduates will take the Albanian language and literature exam on June 10, mathematics on June 17, and elective subjects on June 24.

"We know that you have spent a lot of time studying, practicing and preparing. We know that you have had and will have emotions this month, as well as your dilemmas. What we as parents and teachers say to you is: Believe in yourself, the best is ahead of you for everything that comes after this moment on the journey towards a brilliant future for all!", concluded Manastirliu, wishing success to all the graduates./CNA
