17 children poisoned by salmonella/ AKU responds

A few days ago, it was reported that 17 children from a kindergarten in Gramsh ended up in the hospital after being poisoned with salmonella. The local Health Care Unit confirmed through bacteriological analysis that the children were affected by salmonella.

After this event, which was reported 4 days ago, there was a reaction and accusations from parents who protested, demanding answers from institutions regarding the case.

Today, the NFA reacted, where according to this institution's version, the analysis of the raw milk and chicken thigh products, sampled by DRAKU Elbasan, as well as the milk, chicken thigh, and egg products sampled by DRAKU Tirana, resulted clean for the Salmonella spp indicator.

While for the egg product sampled by DRAKU Elbasan and chicken thighs sampled by DRAKU Tirana, the analysis is still in process.

We recall that a scandal broke out in Albania earlier after it was reported that tons of chicken meat contaminated with salmonella had entered and been sold in various markets, thus putting the health of citizens at risk./ CNA
