Israel-Hezbollah conflict/ Lebanese authorities: The number of casualties has reached 1,024

Lebanese authorities have stated that around 1,024 people have been killed in Lebanon since the start of the last Israel-Hezbollah war on March 2.

The Israeli military launched its campaign in Lebanon after Hezbollah, the Iranian-backed militant group, fired rockets into northern Israel in retaliation for the death of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The Israeli military said its forces were carrying out a "targeted ground operation" on Saturday with the support of Israeli aircraft and that at least four militants were killed.

Hezbollah also issued a statement saying its fighters clashed with Israeli troops in the southern village of Khiam.

Lebanon's Health Ministry said on Saturday that three deaths were reported over the past 24 hours and 99 people were injured, bringing the total number of injured to 2,740. /CNA
