Albania U-19, two friendlies with Turkey

After two successful friendlies with Liechtenstein, the Albanian U-19 National Team officially announces two more friendly matches for the month of September against Turkey. The Communication Department of the AFL informs that the two respective federations have agreed that these two friendly matches will be played in Turkey next month.

The first match of the Reds and Blacks led by coach Julian Ahmataj is scheduled to be played on September 6 at 16:00, while the second match is scheduled to be played two days later, on September 8 at 16:00.

The red and black U-19 national team will start training directly in Turkey on September 2. The list of gathered players will be announced later by coach Julian Ahmataj.

A few days ago, Albania U-19 played two friendlies against Liechtenstein, where they secured two victories with goals. The main purpose of these friendly matches is not only the approval of the final group that will be involved in the qualifying matches of the U-19 European Championship, where the Reds and Blacks will aim to move to the 'Elite Round', but also to increase the morale of the team and the spirit for victory .

The UEFA draw has positioned the Reds and Blacks in Group 11, along with Israel, Denmark and Northern Ireland, as the matches of this group will take place in our country on November 13, 16 and 19, 2024.

According to UEFA regulations, the top two teams in each group will advance to the "Elite Round" together with the third best team in all groups in these qualifiers, while the final stage of the European of age U-19 will take place in Romania next year.
