The Albanian Football Federation has organized a meeting with all participating teams in the Superior Category championship on the eve of the start of the new 2024-2025 season.

In this meeting, which took place in the "House of Football" and was organized by the Refereeing Department of the Albanian Football Federation, coaches and captains of the Superior Category teams participated, while the refereeing regulation was discussed, how players are punished in cases of wrong interventions against the opponent, touches of the ball with the hand when they are punishable and when not, simulations in the penalty area, but also on the field, withdrawals and holdings, how they will be punished, etc.

The head of arbitration in the AFL, Sokol Jareci, explained to the captains the regulations and how they should behave with the referees. Once again, it became clear that the only communication of the referee of the match in the key moments is related only to the captain of the team.

The same practice was followed by UEFA in the finals of the European Championship "Germany 2024" to avoid the pressure on the referee who during a match can make almost 200 decisions, but these decisions cannot be made under the pressure of 22 players, who often surround him putting him under pressure even when a situation is being controlled by the VAR system. Therefore, the only way is to communicate only with the captain of the team, who is the person who will receive official information about a key decision, but is also responsible for the behavior and reactions of other team players who will be disciplined. if they ignore the captain's advice.

The clubs requested from the Refereeing Department in the AFL that cases of different game situations that require interpretation such as hand touches, pulls or holdings in the penalty area to be sent on video so that the coaches can work on the theoretical sessions with the team.

The new edition of the Superior Category championship will kick off on Sunday, August 18, where the first two matches will be played between Dinamo City - Egnatia and Teuta - Bylis.
