Real Madrid find defender in Bundesliga, two players on the verge of leaving

Real Madrid are looking for a new centre-back to strengthen their defensive unit and build a future partnership with Dean Huijsen.

The most talked-about name on the club's list is Borussia Dortmund's Nico Schlotterbeck, who has yet to renew his contract with the German club.

Madrid's management are closely monitoring his situation and could act if a favorable opportunity opens up in the transfer market. After the 5-2 derby defeat to Atletico Madrid, a lack of stability in defense was highlighted.
