U-17 for girls/ Albania draws 1-1 with Estonia at “Elbasan Arena”

Albania U-17 for girls played today at the "Elbasan Arena" stadium the second match of the first qualifying round of the European Championship 2026, against Estonia. The red and black girls, led by coach Cyme Lulaj, tied with the score 1-1 in a match that was very hard fought until the end.

The Albanian team started the match better, creating several dangerous chances in front of the opposing goal. The advantage came in the 29th minute, after a precise cross from captain Rushaj, which was deflected into the net by Estonian player Sootaga, giving the red and black team the lead.

The first half ended with a 1-0 advantage for the red and black girls. In the second half, Estonia reacted and managed to equalize the score in the 59th minute through Pihlak, making the final score 1-1.

After this result, Albania ranks fourth in the group with one point, the same as Estonia. At the top of the standings are Israel and Greece, with four points each. In the other match of the day, played in Rrogozhina, Greece and Israel shared the points after a 1-1 draw.

The red and black team will play the last match of this round on Thursday, at 2:00 PM, again at "Elbasan Arena", against Israel.
