Arsenal cynical, Londoners take the lead

Arsenal won by a narrow 1-0 away win over Fulham, returning to the top of the Premier League.

After a balanced first half, where Riccardo Calafiori had a goal disallowed for offside, the match was unblocked in the 64th minute by Leandro Trossard.

The goal came from a corner kick, with Gabriel deflecting the ball and Trossard taking advantage at the far post to slot it into the net. Minutes later, referee Anthony Taylor awarded Arsenal a penalty for a tackle on Saka, but the decision was overturned after a VAR review.

The Gunners quietly managed the advantage until the end, recording only one defeat in their last 18 league games. With this victory, Arteta's team temporarily moves to the top, while they await Liverpool's response.
