President Duka inspects works on the new Laç complex: Important

The President of the Albanian Football Association, Armand Duka, during his visit to Laç, closely inspected the construction works for the new training complex of the Laçi club, a joint investment between the Albanian Football Association and the club. He emphasized that the work is progressing according to plan and the goal is for the children to start training in this modern complex in June.

President Duka stated that this is an important development for the region and that the Albanian Football Federation is working to build similar structures in other cities in the country, with the aim of improving infrastructure and developing football at all levels.

"It is a 100% football investment. A collaboration between the Albanian Football Association and the Laçi club. The work has begun, as you can see with the foundations and the change of terrain. We are at the stage where the drainage system will begin. The objective, together with the President of the Laçi club, Mr. Pashk Laska, is to start training children in this complex in June.

It is a complex that will serve mainly the Laç club, but also all the children of the area who will want to train here and the regional national teams that we have in the Lezha region. I believe that this is a very positive development for the region, but this is also the objective of the Albanian Football Association, that we build such complexes for every club in Albania.

If we do not have a good infrastructure base, it is very difficult to develop football. We have started similar projects in other cities: in Librazhd, Përrenjas, Gramsh, the one we are inspecting today and we have others in perspective for next year. I am very convinced that this is a great help for the development of football and that we will have more children playing in Laç.

"I hope that next year, the Laçi team will also train here on the natural grass field as a participating team in the Superior Category. The first field will also have stands and youth matches can also be held. We have no doubt that, after we finish it, Laçi will maintain it in a fantastic way, just as it has maintained the stadium," said President Duka.

This is a significant investment for football and an ambitious project that foresees the construction of three standard-sized fields for a football match, one with natural grass and two with artificial grass, a main stand, hotel, locker rooms, swimming pool, parking lot and other facilities that will serve Laçi teams of all ages to train.
