"I prefer clear hierarchies in goal": Galtier decides who between Donaruma and Navas will be the starter

Gianluigi Donnaruma and Keylor Navas agree on one thing: they don't want to spend another year alternating places in PSG's goal. Anyway, it is the 23-year-old Italian who won the run-off with the 35-year-old from Central America, and at least for Galtieri, he will be the one who will start with the rank of starter with the Parisian team. The new coach was clear in the press conference, he wants hierarchies outlined between the pillars and at the moment the Italian is advantaged.

Some sort of signal had actually already arrived from the club's management since last spring and Navas simply has to accept the role of second goalkeeper or look for another team.

Last season, 26 games were played by Navasi and 24 by Donnaruma, but with a constant tension that marred the performance of both and caused dissatisfaction and nervousness. The scene not to be repeated and that PSG does not want to see again, betting everything on the goalkeeper of the Italian national team in which ownership has invested for the future.

Both will be coached by Italian goalkeeping coach Gianluca Spinelli, who has been with PSG since 2018 and has been confirmed for next season as well.
