Rumors swirl about Albania, decision made for Nelson Weiper

Nelson Weiper was one of Germany's standout performers at the European Under-21 Championship, where he scored four goals and finished as the team's second-highest scorer.

The 20-year-old striker also scored in the final against England and was decisive in the semi-final against France. His performances have attracted the attention of other clubs, especially as his contract with Mainz expires on June 30, 2026.

The German club are keen to keep him and have opened talks over a long-term contract. Negotiations are expected to intensify after the player's summer break ends.

Weiper made 23 appearances and scored three goals in the Bundesliga last season. His future could be decided in the coming months, with interest in the German talent growing.

We recall that the player himself recently revealed that he could represent Albania in the future, if he is not invited by the German first team.
