A German coach on the England bench, the parties in advanced talks

Thomas Tuchel can take the leadership of the England national team. The German coach is in advanced talks with the leaders of the English federation and the possibility of an agreement in the coming days is not excluded. This is made known by the German media, which reports that the agreement seems close.

If this were to happen, Tuchel would become the third foreign manager to take charge of England in history. Earlier, the national team of the "3 lions" was directed by the Swedish Eriksson and the Italian Fabio Capello.

Gareth Southgate stepped down as England manager after the European Championship in the summer and since then, the national team has been managed by Under-21 coach Le Carsley. The latter will manage England in the League of Nations and then hopes to return to managing the U-21s.

Le Carsley has so far managed the English in three matches, where he has won two, against Ireland and Finland and a defeat against Greece.

Tuchel is seen more and more near the bench in England, while he has been unemployed since the end of last season, when he left the management of Bayern Munich.

This would be the first time for the German to lead a national team, as in the past he has been on the bench of several clubs, such as Borussia Dortmund, PSG and Chelsea.

In the summer, it was rumored that Tuchel could take over at Manchester United, to replace Erik Ten Hag, but the club's management decided to keep the Dutchman on the bench.
