Mario Mitaj is having the best moment of his career. The transfer to Saudi Arabia has proven decisive for the left-back.

The Albanian has become a key player for Al Ittihad and has won the hearts of the fans. In a story for the club's website, Mitaj has revealed everything from his ideal formation, to the example he follows as a player and the best he has played with.

"At the moment I'm in the silver category, but I learn every day from my friends. They help me grow. To be honest, when I go on the pitch, the only thing I work on is not to panic and try to play the football I know. I don't care what other people think and the only thing I worry about is focusing on the game.

To be honest, I grew up watching Real Madrid's Marcelo and I've always considered him one of the best left-backs in the world and one of the players I try to follow as a role model.

In my opinion, we have some of the best footballers playing in Arabia. The best matches are those derbies, against Al Ahli or Al Nasr, also because we won, but there were also matches where I played well.

The best player I've played with is Karim Benzema. He's a man who treats everyone the same. He tries to help everyone and it's great to have someone like him in the team.

Ideal formation? In goal I would say Neuer. In central defense I would say Pique and Ramos. Right back Dani Alves, while on the left Marcelo. In midfield I would put Xavi-Iniesta and Messi as number 10. On the left wing I would put Neymar, on the right Salah and in attack Cristiano Ronaldo.

I still have to grow. Play for a few more years to put myself out there. I can say that the love I received from people when I signed, especially in the stadium or even outside. A very good reception, when people look at you and treat you with respect.

"I think the position where I feel most confident and play best is as a left back, because I say I know this role very well and that's where I can give my best," said Mitaj.
