Teachers, warehouse workers and barbers! The professions of the players in the Club World Cup

Auckland City FC were thrashed 10-0 by Bayern Munich in their debut in the new Club World Cup format.

The result was one of the deepest in the history of this competition, but for the players of the New Zealand club, this challenge was a dream come true. Most of them are not professional footballers, but have various professions such as teachers, warehouse workers, physiotherapists, students or salespeople.

The goalkeeper works in a warehouse, the defenders are engaged in the insurance, logistics and foundation sectors, while the attackers come from fields such as personal training, barbering or vehicle refinishing.

Facing names like Harry Kane, Neuer or Thomas Muller was a special experience. The Club World Cup is not only an elite competition, but also a stage where the passion for football becomes tangible for those who usually follow the sport from a distance.
