Sigurisht që nuk mund të mungonte në këtë listë Cristiano Ronaldo, që do të luajë Botërorin e pestë në karrierën e tij. Vetëm Matthäus, Carbajal, Márquez dhe Gianluigi Buffon kanë mundur të luajnë në pesë Botërorë.

Portugalia është shortuar në Grupin H, së bashku me Ganën, Korenë e Jugut dhe Uruguain. Luzitanët e nisin turneun kundër “Black Stars” (Gana) më 24 nëntor, në Stadiumin e në Dohas.
