Kosovo wins the first act, one match away from historic achievement

Kosovo recorded an important victory in the first match of the Nations League play-offs, defeating Iceland with a score of 2-1 at the “Fadil Vokrri” stadium. With this success, the Dardanians take a big step towards promotion to League B, while Iceland risks relegation to League C.

The match started well for Kosovo, who opened the scoring in the 19th minute with a goal by Lumbardh Dellova. However, the Icelanders reacted quickly and after only 3 minutes, they managed to equalize the score with a goal by Oskarsson. Elvis Rexhbecaj was the one who sealed the victory for Kosovo in the 58th minute, restoring the advantage and giving Franco Foda's team a very valuable victory.

Despite this positive result, the fight is not over yet, as the return match in Iceland will take place on March 23. Kosovo must manage the lead and secure another positive result to achieve its historic objective, promotion to League B of the Nations League.
