Inter had reached an agreement, Chelsea snatched their target in the transfer market

Marco Palestra looks very close to a move to Chelsea, despite initially being considered a target for Inter.

The Nerazzurri had reached a preliminary agreement with the player on a contract worth €3 million per season. However, Chelsea intervened in the negotiations with a higher offer and changed the course of the operation.

The Londoners have offered the defender, born in 2005, a six-year contract worth €5m net per season, plus bonuses. Meanwhile, Atalanta have accepted Chelsea's offer of €55m plus bonuses and 10% of a future sale.

All that is awaited is the finalization of the agreement between the English club and the player's representatives. After signing the documents, Palestra will travel to London for official procedures.
